Tesla referral code: what it gets you now.

Tesla rebuilt its referral program on October 29, 2026. New Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck orders no longer show a referral benefit. A referral link still matters for two groups: people ordering Tesla solar, and people who already drive a Tesla and want to try FSD (Supervised) free for a month.

If you came here for three months of free FSD with a new car: that offer no longer appears on my Tesla referral page. I am telling you before you go looking for it, because a referral link cannot be added after you order anyway.

Tesla's Refer and Earn terms no longer list Model 3, Model Y or Cybertruck as qualifying for buyer benefits. My referral page shows no vehicle offer. If you already own a qualifying Tesla, check the Tesla app for loyalty benefits instead.

Already own or lease a Tesla One free month of FSD (Supervised)

If you have not had an FSD trial or paid FSD subscription in the past 12 months, an FSD referral link redeemed in the Tesla app may unlock a one-month trial. New-owner delivery trials count against that 12 months.

On October 29, 2026, Tesla also launched the FSD (Supervised) referral program for existing owners. Tesla did not publish an announcement about removing vehicle referral benefits; the change shows in its current terms and referral pages.

Choose an eligible product

As of October 31, 2026, my page shows Solar Panels & Powerwall. Buyer benefits are for a first qualifying Tesla product, and energy products qualify only when Tesla installs them.

Verify the benefit in Tesla's flow

Look for the referral benefit before submitting. If it is missing, pause rather than assuming it can be added later.

Confirm the product, configuration, address, payment details, Tesla account and benefit. Submit only when they all look right.

What Full Self-Driving (Supervised) means

FSD (Supervised) is Tesla's advanced driver-assistance software. It does not make the car autonomous; the driver must stay attentive and be ready to take over at any time.

Does a Tesla referral code still give free FSD on a new Model 3 or Model Y?

Not as of October 31, 2026. Tesla's Refer and Earn terms no longer list any vehicle for buyer benefits, and my referral page now shows only $400 off Solar Panels & Powerwall. Earlier in 2026, the same page showed three months of FSD (Supervised) for eligible vehicle orders.

What does a Tesla referral link get you now?

$400 off eligible Tesla Solar Panels and Powerwall orders for first-time Tesla energy buyers, and a separate FSD referral that can give eligible existing owners a one-month FSD (Supervised) trial.

I already own a Tesla. What can I get?
