Real cars · Real roads · Ongoing notes

The owner journal.Useful before and after delivery.

This is where the referral guide becomes a real ownership story: software that gets better, moments that still need a human, a first service appointment that surprised us, and an honest comparison with the Kia EV6 we still enjoy.

Latest field notes

What owning the car has taught us.

No generic spec-sheet rewrites. These are the moments that changed how we think about the car after living with it.

October 31 · FSD 14.3.13

Steadier on 14.3.13. The phantom right-lane signals are gone so far.

14.3.12 began signaling for right-turn lanes for no reason; 14.3.13 appears to fix it. Standard mode respects the speed limit far better, and Hurry mode has been good on the highway.

New · Service experience

Our passenger mirror overextended. Tesla’s communication impressed us more than the repair.

How these reviews are made

Experience first. Claims second. Hype last.

The goal is not to pretend ownership is perfect. It is to give a shopper the context a configuration page cannot.

01

Use the actual product

Notes come from our own Model 3, our Kia EV6, our roads, and the software version installed in our car.

02

Separate observation from fact

Personal experiences are labeled as personal. Tesla offers, features, and limitations are checked against current official sources.

03

Update without overclaiming

Software and incentives change. We date each update, keep a small sample small, and say what remains unknown.

Why Link Before Launch exists

I wanted a referral guide that stayed useful after the order.

A code page can answer one question and disappear. A real owner journal can help someone understand what they are actually considering—and help owners see how the experience changes over time.
