First-hand use
I name the car, software version, road context, and date when they matter. A feature I have not used does not become a personal recommendation.
Our household owns a Quicksilver Tesla Model 3 and a Kia EV6. We genuinely like both. Living with them side by side has made the differences clearer than any test drive or spec table ever could.
Most of my professional life is spent helping people make sense of complicated travel decisions. This site is not an advertisement for that business. It simply comes from the same instinct: verify the important details, explain the tradeoffs plainly, and help someone know what to do next.
I wanted a Tesla for years. When we finally bought one, I also realized how easy it would be for a buyer to miss the referral step or misunderstand what the current offer actually included. Link Before Launch began with that one practical issue and grew into a record of what ownership really feels like.
“The useful story is not that the Tesla is perfect. It is that the whole experience can feel extraordinary while still requiring an attentive, honest owner.”
That is why the site can praise 14.3.9's better lane discipline and still document the right-signal behavior I cannot explain. It can love the connected Tesla experience and still say the EV6 is a good car. I may benefit from an eligible referral, but that does not change what I record about the car.
The evidence should be visible enough that a reader can separate my experience from a manufacturer claim.

Tesla offers, feature descriptions, and program rules are checked against Tesla whenever possible. Third-party release notes are labeled as third-party.
FSD remains supervised. I distinguish a repeated observation from a known cause, and a few drives from a universal verdict. Referral benefits can change too.
The cars on the site are ours. Original images and redacted ownership evidence are preferred over stock or AI-generated pictures.
