FSD (Supervised) 14.3.12 · October 24, 2026 · Updated October 31

Tesla FSD 14.3.12 review: a better right lane, late exits, then a regression.

Our Halloween-update build. Right-lane behavior improved and we enjoyed the progress, but exit-lane moves came later than I liked. Late in its run, unnecessary right-turn-lane signals crept back in. 14.3.13 appears to fix that.

Quick verdict

Real progress in the right lane, but not settled: exit timing still needed my intervention, and phantom right-turn-lane signals returned late in its run.

What got better

On October 24, 2026, with the Halloween update and FSD (Supervised) 14.3.12, the car had gotten better about the right lane. After the early, eager moves into the far-right lane we saw on 14.3.9, that was welcome progress.

Exit timing still needed work

On our drives, the move into the exit lane could come later than I was comfortable with. I still intervened to move over earlier when a safe gap was available. I want the car to leave enough room for a calm, predictable exit rather than making that decision feel rushed.

That is where my optimism and my expectations meet: the experience keeps getting better, and I keep hoping for every part of the drive to work more smoothly.

The late regression

Toward the end of our time on 14.3.12, the car started turning on the right signal for a right-turn lane when there was no reason to move over. I thought 14.3.12 had already settled that kind of behavior, so the regression surprised me. It echoed the unexpected right-signal events we logged on 14.3.9 in late September.

What came next

We moved to 14.3.13, which appears to fix the unnecessary signals so far, with better speed discipline in Standard mode. Read the FSD 14.3.13 review, or see every build in the version history.

Questions about FSD 14.3.12

What changed in Tesla FSD 14.3.12?

In our Model 3, right-lane behavior improved compared with 14.3.9, which it replaced directly. Exit-lane moves could still come later than I preferred, so I intervened to move over earlier when safe.

Did FSD 14.3.12 have any regressions?

Yes, in our car. Late in its run, it began signaling for right-turn lanes when there was no reason to move over. That behavior appears fixed on 14.3.13 so far.

Should I wait for a newer version than 14.3.12?

Your car receives the build Tesla sends it. Based on our experience, 14.3.13 felt steadier than 14.3.12. Read the 14.3.13 review.
